How You Can Apply for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Application Form 2022?


1. In Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, all the information about the application form for admission in class VI is given on the same, whenever we fill the form, everything is written there that what to do first, then what to do or which data to fill, etc. But still, the following guidelines should be specially kept in mind by the students and their parents/guardians.

Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility criteria for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test 2022 are written below, candidates can check it.

1. Only the candidates of the respective district where Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been opened are eligible to apply for admission.

2. A student seeking admission must be born not earlier than 01 May 2009 and not later than 30 April 2013 (both dates inclusive), it will apply to all categories of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST).

3. A candidate appearing for the selection test must be studying in Class-V for the entire academic session 2020-21 in Government or Government aided or other recognized schools or ‘B’ Certificate qualifying course of National Institute of Open Schooling in same. Actual admission to class VI will be subject to the condition mentioned above.

4. Candidate claiming admission under rural quota must have studied and passed classes III, IV, and V from Govt. Government or Government aided/recognized schools A school located in a rural area spends one full academic session every year.

5. Candidates who have passed the ‘B’ Certificate qualifying course of the National Institute of Open Schooling on or before 30th September 2020 can also take the entrance test. The rural status of a child of the National Institute of Open Schooling will be decided based on a certificate issued by the Tehsildar/District Magistrate of the district that the child has been residing in rural areas for the last three years.

6. A candidate who has not been promoted before 15th September 2021 and admitted to Class-V is not eligible to apply. No candidate is eligible to appear in the selection test for the second time under any circumstances. His form will be cancelled.

For Rural Candidates:

As per the rule, at least 75% of the seats in a district will be filled by the selected candidates from rural areas and the remaining seats will be filled from the urban areas of the district.

Students seeking admission under rural quota must be a student in class-III, IV, and V from a government/government-aided/government recognized school located in rural areas to complete the full academic session. However, the candidate must have studied the full academic session in Class-V from the same district where admission is sought.

For Urban Candidates:

A candidate who has studied for one day of the session in Class-III, IV, and V in a school located in an urban area will be treated as an urban candidate. Whereas each of the areas will be treated as rural.
