How Many Lunar and Solar Eclipses in Pakistan 2022

How many eclipses are there in 2022 in Pakistan: Let us tell you that Pakistan is also included in those very few countries where the second and last solar eclipse of 2022 can be seen. If seen, apart from Pakistan, the solar eclipse will be seen in parts of Europe, Asia, and Northeast Africa.

Professor Dr. Javed Iqwal of Karachi University recently said that the solar eclipse will peak at 3:57 pm on 25 October and end by 5:56 pm. If seen, a partial eclipse of the Sun will be seen at 5:00 pm. You should read all details about how many eclipses are in 2022 in Pakistan.

Here the Moon will be able to see a part of the body better. When it is time for a solar eclipse, a “ring of fire” surrounds the lunar body during this event.

Let us say that a solar eclipse happens once or twice a year. If seen, the Earth can see only a maximum of 5 eclipses in a whole year. You must know that solar eclipse is seen in about 0.5% of the Earth.

The first eclipse of this year was seen on May 1 in many countries apart from Pakistan.

Let us tell you that in 2022, two eclipses of the Sun, 2 eclipses of the Moon, and no transit of Mercury will be seen here. Out of this, 2 eclipses will be seen in some parts of North America.

How Many Lunar and Solar Eclipses in Pakistan 2022 – Eclipse Dates for 2022:

April 30, 2022: It is not visible from North America due to this partial eclipse of the Sun. In contrast, this eclipse was seen in the southeast Pacific Ocean, Antarctic Peninsula, and South America.

May 15, 2022: It was a total eclipse of the Moon. This eclipse was not seen in the Northwest regions. The opposite was seen in North America. It began on May 15, EDT (6:31 pm PDT) and lasted until 2:52 am.

October 25, 2022: This is a partial eclipse of the Sun; this eclipse will be visible from North America, as well as from Greenland, Iceland, North East, Africa, Europe, Middle East India, the western sea, and western China.

November 8, 2022: This is a total eclipse; it will be visible from North America. This eclipse will last from 12: 01 AM to 8:50 am on November 8.

What Is An Eclipse?

Two types of eclipses are often seen on Earth: solar eclipse and lunar eclipse. A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes directly in front of the Sun. Due to this, the sunlight is blocked by the Moon. A solar eclipse is always visible only in certain areas. This eclipse should always be seen with eye protection.

On the other hand, a lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon enters the shadow of the Earth. Because of this, it cuts off some or all of the sunlight reflected from the Moon. A lunar eclipse is visible on Earth throughout the night. Due to this eclipse, the light of the Moon gets reduced.

If seen, not every eclipse is seen the same. There are different modes of lunar and solar eclipses:

A total eclipse of the Moon or Sun occurs when the Moon or Sun is completely blocked.

During a total lunar eclipse, the Moon is completely covered by the Earth’s shadow, due to which the Moon turns red.

Similarly, during a total solar eclipse, the Sun is completely covered by the Moon, leading to a brief period of astonishing darkness. Only a part of the Moon or Sun is obscured during a partial eclipse of the Moon or Sun.

An annular eclipse is a type of solar eclipse. In an annular eclipse where the Moon completely covers the Sun, but in an annular eclipse, the size of the Moon is smaller than the Sun, which means that the Sun is not completely visible. Here a very bright ring of light appears to be formed, called the annulus.

A penumbral eclipse is a type of lunar eclipse. A penumbral eclipse occurs when the Moon enters only the outer edge of the Earth’s shadow, in which case the Moon appears slightly darker than normal.

This transit occurs when a celestial body passes between a larger celestial body and another celestial body. For example, when Mercury passes between the Sun and the Earth, it is called a transit of Mercury. Since Earth is the third planet from the Sun, we can observe the transits of both Mercury and Venus.
